It is possible...that's only $2300 a week. That's doable for a hustler. And what a good young carhauler should be making.

You say only like 2300 a week happens all the time..yes a hustler should make 2k a week. But it's a lot of factors involved in that

Im a good young car hauler. I'm the youngest at my job started at 23 I shoot for 2k plus a week but like you said you have to hustle. If the works not there neither is the money

I feel for all the young hustler carhaulers out here trying to hit 2k a week. I started at Allied in 1997 and was plenty happy making $175 to $200 a night running 1 load a night Sunday through Thursday nights. I'd like to go back in time. Money ain't everything.

Not trying to be smart but since I switched companies it has been happening all the time. I don't know what the rates are down there. But I do know when I was at H&A I took a load to Orlando and got a back haul out of Jax to Richmond and it paid crap! Maybe that's the issue.

No sir I'm with masney auto transport. I have a friend who runs out of jax and he's put every 10/11 car load possible on a truck he does multi drops and different makes and models on 1 load and he takes home about 1500-1750 a week.

I see Masney a good bit on the routes I run. I think with H&A it has to do with terminal he runs out of. I was out of Jessup and I think the rates out of there were a little higher and not as many splits. And I switched now so I'm not sure exactly how it is over there now... been gone about 2 1/2 years. I'm much happier where I am now but have nothing bad to say about H&A as a company...and I leave it at that. Lol

It does matter, where you haul, what you haul and how much you can haul. I have a friend who works here as a company driver short haul, that grosses the truck $6,000-$8,000 a week. I don't work near that hard so my truck doesn't gross that unless I run the road. I am not sure what the top percentage is but I know a new guy gets 25% and I have talked to drivers getting 30%. There are many variables and some companies may gross more, but some of them are running freight north and east of where I will run. After getting a taste of not going to Chicago or the east coast, I don't care how much more that freight pays, because I don't run it. Bottom line everyone's definition of good money is different, but I have no plans to go elsewhere with my rig. If I want more money there is plenty of money, I just have to work to get it.
