The Windy Hill recruiter is coming to my school next week. I live in a very hard area of Florida to get hired as a newb and from what I've read on here from people who have ACTUALLY worked at Windy Hill, they seem like the kind of company I am hoping to start with. Small company, good equipment, good miles, paper logs, no hand holding. The guy I talked to who drives for them makes more than 23K too.
Anyone working for them now care to share what a typical 3 wk run is like? Any thoughts on the new Cascadias? Do they allow inverters? -
They have new Cascadias? New one one me... Most of their trucks that roll into our shop are junk...

I was told they ordered 50 of them. I know they have at least one because I passed it on a night drive 2 nights ago. There are also pictures of them on their website.
123456- Can you cut and paste the article. I don't have a subscription to that site and all I got was the first sentence of the article. -
are you serious...have been to that truck stop many times and lived across the highway from it for 1 1/2 years....talk about preventables

Graduated from school this week! I accepted a position with WH and will be going to Orientation in 2 weeks. They make you sign a 1 year contract(Shouldn't I work for my first trucking company at LEAST a year anyway?), but they're paying tuition reimbursement and seem to have a good pay/benefits package. 3 weeks out and 3 days off. Got a new Samsung Galaxy s2 skyrocket coming from ATT($20 w/ reup) to keep in touch w/ the family while on the road(Is 5GB/mon. enough for Netflix. Pandora and Skype?). 3-4 weeks w. trainer then solo. I'll start a new thread once I get going.
