hahaha... funny.
Ive only been trucking for a year now, and straight truck at that, but ive already been called an a..hole and flipped off 3x. People are inconsiderate of trucks, and just dont realize we cant move like they can. Like the guy who decided in a downpour on an uphill to go from 50 down to 25 just by letting off the gas, and then straddle both lanes on the highway so i couldnt safely bring my speed down and had to roll on the shoulder so i didnt hit him. Or the lady that I slowed down to 40 mph on the highway for so that she could merge in and instead she decides to hit the brakes, so i speed back up, and when she finally does merge, she decides to get infront of me and slam the brakes with her kid standing up in the back seat and procedes to do whatever she can to keep me from passing. For the most part it seems like where i do my driving 4 wheelers feel like only they should be on the road and no1 else. i see them cut off fully loaded sand trucks just to slam on the brakes because they couldnt wait 20 more seconds to get to the 7-11. or my personal favorite, when they are behind a truck, and only have 1/2 mile more till their exit, but just HAVE to get infront of the truck before they get to their exit.

I agree the four-wheelers aren't as bad as some of the truckers....I have found that ignorance and impatience applies more to some of the truckers otr than 4-wheelers.I ignore being harassed otr by anyone as I am out here doing a job and minding my own business and dont need any problems from either......

I think that's the best attitude, although I'd prefer to have a sign on the back that says "Driver is a sharpshooter, prone to road rage and usually drunk"

One of my personal favs is the Great Southern Red Light Last Second Lane Swap. They always look at me funny or leave brown streaks on their seat when it was me who had to quickly check to see if it was safe to veer slightly in order to come to a complete stop on the open shoulder or open turning lane not realizing that they just took all my braking distance away not to mention how much of the freight would have erupted all over the place in the back if I didn't think quick and veer off to the side. I leave good following distance but some people really hate to see space being wasted I guess.
I rarely get a finger (really only twice), but I did get one SUV who got so mad at me for wanting to change lanes to continue on to the truck route that they went all the way around me real fast only to stop directly in front of me sideways to teach me a lesson even if it cost them their life. I was actually shocked I was able to stop. The sad part is that I actually slowed down enough to let the very important people doing more important things go past, but for some strange reason this one really thought I should have either cut everyone off possibly bouncing my rear tandems on a few roofs or run through the residential neighborhood with all the tiny streets and little children playing in it. -
Too bad you were able to stop.

Years ago I wouldn't hesitate to chase some ####### down who just cut me off, I almost put someone into the wall because they pissed me off so much because they were purposly screwing around with me. I have absolutly no patience when it comes to drivers of 4 wheelers.
I have calmed down just a little bit as i have gotten older, just a little bit though.
Not long ago I let a car hit me just so he could see what a stupid move he tried to pull. We had the left lane closing, only right lane was open, he decided to be smart and try to cut everyone off by jumping off the ramp and trying to butt back in. Well, he thought he was going to get in front of me, I didn't stop for him, didn't hurt my truck but did a hell of a lot of damage to his little car. He'll be spending a couple days at the body shop. Sometimes the paper work IS worth it.
Anyway, when someone really pisses me off. I always have my train horn, really scares the crap out of people.
One time there were 2 girls riding around in daddy's little convertable, they made a right turn in front of me, and immediatly had to slam on the brakes for a red light. I stood on the brakes and almost didn't stop. I got out of the truck and had to restrain myself from driving her right in the head.
As you can see, I have no patience and the best thing you can do is just stay away from me, stay far away and we'll get along just fine.longbedGTs Thanks this. -
In my pickup truck I have an old 6v 1950's dual trumpet truck horn wired to 12v.
I LOVE when someone screws up in front of me...they're gonna know they done messed up bigtime! So will everyone around for 1/4 mile!
People running the red light is my biggest peeve and my most horn usage. It's bad here in Atlanta.Last edited: Apr 1, 2009

And this is the reason i dont drive on the big road lol. Its not so much im scared of big trucks its more of all the crazy drivers on it.It used to not bug me to get out on I 44 when the speed limt was 60 and i was doing 70 but now its 70 and everything is doing 90 it scares me to death. My kids make fun of me because it takes me that much longer to get some place.I remeber one time my husband talked me into get on I 44 because he would be right there with me.Well my little car would fly and his truck not so much when it was fully loaded. So here i going on the road and break neck speed, watch to make sure he behind me.These two trucks decide to play chicken with me and its p this little redhead off and before i thought yep i slowed down, just to p this big truck off,man it took my husband less then min to get on the phone and tell me stop your about to get hurt.and course i said well you get on there and tell that dumb butt i have kids in this car and not to be playing with me.He decide to make me get off the interstate lol.He has never sent that day request i get out there with him.So yes i agree its not just the car its the truck also but most of the time its the car doing dumb things that cause the drivers to do dumb things
