Driving a 2006 pete 367 with a 525 isx and 18 speed manual, this one is really hard to pull out of gear, grinds trying to downshift even with the very slightest pressure, on downshifting its really tight feeling and very touchy and doesn't want to slide into gear easily, when you do feel it start going in you really gotta mash it in or it will snap out, all the other trucks i use shift buttery smooth but this one is really rough, looks like whoever was driving it before me was rough on it im guessing because the shifter knob is all busted, clutch works fine and is smooth and clutch brake works good. Any ideas? All i can think of is a damaged fork or damaged countershaft.

Could be several things. Twisted mainshaft, sticking shift rails, seizing shift detents, seizing shift rail interlocks etc.

Could also be something as stupid as low/bad oil causing issues. Only way to tell is to get it looked at.
