I am not certain of that answer. I can throw a 18 wheeler or bobtail around on any surface and generally within reason get away with it.

I might not be able to make the bus accept certain large inputs without rolling. It would be a greek tragety if I spilled the Senate off the American Legion.

$0.50/mile and it's 12 hours from Reno to Phoenix. Bus not governed. Go as fast as speed limit.

I did find some drivers but not enough; there's a driver change in Vegas.

Vegas is 250 miles. So $125 for a day?
    Good luck with that.

I currently drive a charter motor coach and absolutely love it. For the most part our clients/passengers are quite nice, and don't cause problems or headaches. As for the coaches, they ARE fun to drive, ride smooth, and you always have a restroom with you. The hardest work is loading luggage, but in my case, we don't do many overnight/multi-day tours, so luggage handling is infrequent.

I've yet to drive a VanHool, but we have MCI's and Prevosts, and I'll tell you...a well maintained Prevost rides like a Cadillac Fleetwood! They are great cruising buses!

For me, anytime a meal is included in an itinerary, either the group picks up the driver's tab or the facility comps the meal. And we don't eat at the crappy truckstop restaurants. If we do a dinner theater, I eat dinner with the group and watch the show. Casinos usually comp a meal or free slot play, and most other trips a charter will stop at places like Cracker Barrel, Applebee's, etc.

I just had an amazing time with Greyhound. No, not really. Apparently they have drivers quitting left and right. I was stuck in Denver for almost an entire day longer than I was supposed to be. Rerouted everything twice. There were about three entire routes that were canceled coming from Denver.

Yep, it seems all the GLI drivers I know are getting stuck in Denver all the time because they have a desperate driver shortage in Denver.

When is the last time you flew? I was recently in JFK and Ohare twice and everything was smooth.

Rental cars can be had for $35/day if you book through Priceline.
