If you owned a small company and a large company came by and waved even 2 million dollars in front of your face to purchase your company, wouldn't you take it, I sure would.

Yup! My small company was bought out by a large one and I remember hearing several people at the large company say how spoiled we were.
Seems to me that we were treated as professionals and returned that respect by working hard for the company and taking care of the equipment. I was called at home a very few times by the small company and asked to do a favor and did because I knew they would take care of me. The larger company? Not so much...

The problems with these mega co's is that they're run by bean counters as well as greedy individuals who could care less about any person working for them.

I went to Potlatch in McGehee quite a bit. Even got a ticket there...I paid it, but I made the sheriff's department drive over to the local Western Union office (inside a butcher's!) to pick up my payment. :D

Also picked up from Frito-Lay in Jonesboro several times. Ah, those were the days.

My current office has the same view every day. I like my job, but I miss driving.:Trailer: Getting all sentimental now. :biggrin_25520:
