Looks like it would be kind of nice for the roof of a car. For the low price of two hundred Euros plus the cost of shipping and import duties you could have one as well.
This is the guy that makes them in Italy.

Build me one out of stainless or brass with all the little rubber O-rings to make it waterproof and I'll purchase one from you.

    Maybe it's just me...But there's no-way I would even consider buying a antenna called "Radio Killer"....Sounds like that's just asking for problems!

The machine work is superb but unfortunately he only uses cheap aluminum which is easy to machine and easy to corrode but it's totally watertight with rubber O-rings.
He hasn't destroyed anything yet except for my eardrums.

How can you tell it si superb when it isn't in front of you?

I would be happy but my lathe is put away for now, I could not stand up for more than a few minutes at a time when it was put away but I will tell you one thing rabbi, I am inspired to get it out and make something like that.

    rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

That thing is definitely a work of art. Just watching him unscrew all the parts and looking at all the O-rings was pretty impressive to me. Never in my life have I ever seen a roof mount antenna made with such attention to detail. The thing I like about it is that it's totally rebuildable, and if I wanted to shorten the coil to lengthen the whip it would be really easy to do so, and I could put it back together without having to worry about water leaking into it. Good things definitely don't come cheap.
