Yeah I read that part of the contract; it says that ure training is finished once u get the otr portion of the training over with.

AND if ure waiting to go work, this is a common thing, I waited 3 weeks for my trainer ...

PAM (if that's who ure going with) has it's good and it's bad, most of what Boy Wander detailed ... For me this was a career choice, what's it to you? Do you want to experience teaming for 6 months? Do you want to taste the otr adventure?

Decide if this is just something to pay the bills in the meantime or if this is ure future ... If being home is more important than gaining experience ... (if it is) PAM, they can be good in many ways such as getting u home every 3 Weeks, but they can b bad if ure not looking at things for what they truly are, such as, do you really expect to make the promised $40,000? (don't forget to deduct the $2000 that YOU pay for ure school + $500 for the truck escrow)

Ultimately, everything in life has a price ... Get informed on here and choose what's ”cheapest” or what's the best option for you and your loved ones

I hope not, still got a few months left on my contract ...

You waited three weeks for a trainer with PAM? I can't handle too much more waiting. I've been sitting almost three weeks waiting for orientation. If I sit too long I start looking for other jobs. I need money.

Yeah man, 3 Weeks. But now in PAM u do orientation first, once u start you'll be on the payroll. But yeah, I needed money too, had to sell my guitar amps to pay rent. That's why I tell everyone on here, the Driver Solution thing isn't a quick fix to whatever financial problems you may have, it's more like an investment ... so all of you new guys thinking about going this route, be prepared to wait ... Wait for your trainer, wait for the next load, wait for your truck to get outta the shop, wait for unload, wait for load, wait, wait, wait, wait. It's more part of the job than not. Best of luck.

I waited 2.5 weeks for my trainer back in 2005. My trainer lived 8 hours or so from me.
