I think that it's the laws of the state you're moving TO that will determine how much red tape you gotta deal with, not the state you're moving away from.
So if CA is real strict like you say, you would prolly hafta deal with a lot of red tape if you were transferring from GA to CA, but not the other way around.
Has anyone transferred their cdl from CA to GA????

No, still hauling fuel.
The cryo opportunities for me will either require a move...or going back to OTR duty....or both.
30 mins south of Atlanta...that sounds like the Griffin/McDonough/Jackson area.
Still doing cryo work...or something else?

Californians spreading like wildfire.. stay there we don’t want none

sir I don’t plan on making any waves in Georgia, I’m looking for peace and quiet, I’m law abiding, and a pretty decent guy. But thanks for the “southern hospitality” nonetheless.

still doing cryo, I considered fuel but it’s hard when I take into consideration just how clean cryo is (in comparison)

You’re absolutely right, sorry I didn’t make myself clear: I was trying to say since CA is soooo strict, hopefully GA recognizes that and all I have to do is take my hazmat over.

In that case, you won't won't get any better information here.

Hazmat transfers but You have to retake the hazmat test
superpet39 Thanks this. -
I believe my state of TN just required I bring the documents to establish my physical address (list on their website) pay a small fee and take the HazMat test. I believe many states just require you take the HazMat, not retake all of your endorsement tests.

That's my experience with transferring my CDL to GA.
