Well, I'm a west coast struttin'

My question is not for Axl Rose and all the badasses, Im asking mere mortals and even nancy boys that would care about little things like, oh, I don't know, silicosis?

This newer way of doing frac sand, you still working in clouds of dust? I know it was once blown in without wearing respirators. Then, everyone got respirators. And, this new way, even safer?

I can ask the same about about checking the oil tanks. I couldnt do it, I couldnt stand the fumes.

I was in the oil fields in 2013, 2014. Has it gotten any better?

Concerns over silicosis is exactly why they switched from pneumatics to sandboxes and those specialized bottom-drop trailers - because those two methods of handling produce far less dust.

As far as oil tank vapors, newer leases are using LACT units to load and vapor recovery so you don't have to climb the tanks. But at older leases you still have to gauge & thief from the top.

Thank you, that's exactly what I was looking for. Marlboro filterless is really manly but Id rather be healthy.

Thinking about doing it again. Especially Texas , it was kind of fun off roading in the desert and experimenting with the hot sauces on the Tex Mex.
