Yup, if I'd had the seals I'd put them in. Lesson learned. However, you can't tell me the guy that had that trailer before me didn't hear the air leak.

Well you're probably right. But I have had seals that were good when hooked up then when I unhooked them they ripped. If you don't disconnect them for a couple months they tend to get stuck together. I had times where I was hooked the same trailer for over two months.... Next time you fuel, check yes when it asks you if you want additives, oil or ect. Then go inside after fueling and grab a set of seals and have them add it to your fuel...keep some in your truck.

    Yes...we do...not Caterpillar though, Keen has the Caterpillar contract...ours is Case/New Holland/Kobelco.

There are 6 of us on this division (CNH)...it is considered a dedicated account.

There are no openings right now...but that could change at any time. Maverick prefers to promote from within for this division, but there have been exceptions.

What's stated below will pretty much rule you out though....TWIC is necessary.

Man, I'm out here kickin names and taking butt. Wait, I don't think I said that right. Any who, I've got a great big 934 mile DEADHEAD to Witchita Falls, Tx for a Monday am load. I had yet another come to Jesus meeting with my FM about lack of miles. Hopefully this is the start of good mile weeks. That is the only negative comment I have about Maverick. I saw on the thread about Sewer man. That's tough. I was woken up this morning from a phone call telling me my father is in the hospital, heart attack. I guess that's apart of life that we all have to accept. We cannot stop time. Y'all be safe and stay in the "right" lane.

I hope that your Father recovers quickly and well Blind Dog. And I hope that your FM gets you started on a long streak of great mileage weeks. Starting with a 934 mile deadhead!!??!! Wow! That's gonna throw your mpg # through the roof dude!!

Yup yup. My mpg for this last tank was 9.27. Slow, easy, and gentle on the throttle. I tried to purchase glad seals when I filled up, it wouldn't allow it. Oh well, so I grabbed 2 bottles of fuel additive instead. I arrived here, in Wichita Falls, Tx right at 1530. Its now 1745 local, and I only see 2 empty spots here at the J. It always amazes me to watch drivers circle the lot, and will not even attempt a half way difficult back into a spot. Really? I'll bet these are the same drivers that talk all the garbage on the cb.

The serious, straight answer is simple. #1, I drive this truck as if I own it #2, I drive as if I'm paying for the fuel out of my own pocket. I'm VERY gentle on the accelerator #3 I shift at LOW rpms #4, I set my cruise control at 1300rpms (58mph) and lastly #5, I only idle when absolutely necessary. Get the mind set, gentle easy RELAX. There's plenty of time. If the loads are calculated at 50mph, then you have plenty of time. If your not gonna make appt time, send update eta macro. Easy peasy. Good question.

Well, I reported that my deadhead was 930 miles. My w/a loaded miles are 1121 miles. This load alone puts me at my best miles per week ever!!
Hopefully, the poor miles is in the past, and the good miles are here to stay. On a different note, my father is out of the hospital. All tests came back good. His heart is fine! Be safe drivers and stay in the "right" lane.
