I think you will get out of Maverick what you put in. They have definitely done everything they said they would. I think its a great company, with the potential to work here till retirement.

 

Well now, my miles have been GREAT! I messed up though when I scheduled my next home time. Somehow I looked at the calendar wrong. This weekend makes 4 weeks in the truck. I'm not supposed to be home till next Thursday evening. I gotta say, I'm tired, and I'm tired of being in this truck. Everything's going well. Good, long runs. Truck looks and runs great. I keep it shiny on the outside and spotless on the inside. Loading in the am in Carlisle and heading to Miami. Hopefully home from there. Guys be safe. Slow down and keep it in the "right" lane.

 

Hey guy. No, I've never been to Miami before. I'm looking forward to it. I love the Spanish influence in the architecture. Cool buildings. Any how, I'm at the rest area on I95 mm331. I'll head out at 0600 local. I figure a good 6 hours still yet to drive. I would have made it on time, only I had major detention at the shipper which messed everything up.

 

Alrighty then. I'm sitting at the house. The weather is GREAT!! I can sleep with my windows open, and don't have to worry about hearing some dummy idle all night. I got home Wednesday evening, and will head out Monday morning. I've only been home two days, but I'm ready to be back inside my truck. Some guys have a "man cave." I have the inside of my truck.

 

OK. Nothing too exciting to post. After my home time, I went to Newberry, SC to pick up some lumber that delivered in the Cincinnati area. Then they deadhead me to Dewitt, Iowa for a load of glass that delivers Friday morning in Denver. Pretty sweet. This will make a real nice check, with easy driving. On a side note, I drove through the gorge on I40 in western NC on Monday night. Yup, another rock slide. They did have a lane open though so it didn't even hardly slow me down. Y'all be safe and keep it in the "right" lane.

 

Alright, I delivered my load in Denver. Way too easy. A crazy place tho, they unload you OUTSIDE! Regardless of the weather. Hmmm, I didn't think you were supposed to get glass wet? Anyhow, I didn't even have my Denver load delivered and they put a preplan load on me, sweet! So I deadheaded to Wichita Falls Texas, to swap trailers and now I'm headed to Mt. Zion Illinois. From there, they should be working me to the house. Y'all be safe.
