Well shoot. I can't get across the Mississippi river bridge at Baton Rouge. They have the interstate closed due to ice. The us highway north of that bridge is also closed. I had to back track to Hammond to park at the Pilot til tomorrow morning. I won't get this load delivered on time due to the weather. That stinks. Its always something tho.
I called my f/m to give him a status update and his words," don't be a hero, stay parked until its safe to move."
Yup. Theres a reason he's the best f/m in glass!

I tell you what, since I've changed F/M's he's been running me hard. I've been over 2300 miles every week. Makes me wonder what the problem was before? Why the crazy low miles?? Hmmm.....
I'm headed back to Texas for a Friday morning delivery in Houston. I've got a real good friend, that I served with in Iraq, that lives there. Hopefully someday I'll be able to have the time to see him and his family.
My trucks been running great. I can't keep it clean though. To much junk on the roads. I've noticed if I buy fuel in the north my fuel mileage stinks. If I buy it in the south my mileage is a lot better. Anyhow,y'all be safe. Keep it in the "right" lane.

Low fuel mileage with fuel up north is because it's a winter blend, to combat gelling. Glad to hear it's going better.

    Blind Dog Thanks this.

Sorry, no that wasn't me. My truck has my name on the "polished" kick plate under the drivers door.

Aluminum polish and elbow grease. I keep all my aluminum polished to look like chrome. However, all the road salt has put a beating on it!

Well, finally at the house. I've been out for 3 weeks, and I've run hard for 3 weeks. I'm definitely tired. I'm supposed to leave out Sunday evening, however, I went to the Dr. today, and he scheduled me for a medical procedure for Monday morning. That'll put me leaving out on Tuesday morning at earliest. I have faith that my f/m will run me hard to get me "caught" up on miles. But, as tired as I feel, it'll do me good to be shut down for an extra day.

I don't see the point in trying to polish the plate below the drivers door because MAVK keeps assigning me a new truck. I do really like the newest truck. It has the new silver-star LED directional headlamps and the comfort & ride is much better than the 2013's. Dashboard layout is also much better with the multi function gauges.
