Trees are coming to my church early next week: I asked the fellow last year how they were $ wise. Nice fellow, Canadian. Said its a power only gig with labor unloading, up to 7 stops, usually mostly throughout NYC area from Canada. Avg'd to $2.50 a mile all miles dh back for more with a junk trailer (2 piece rims, 42' that had a homemade extra deck welded/bolted on back)

my father orders the trees, and has known the tree farm owner for 30+ years. Asked if I wanted his number. I laughed: I'm sure it's better in other areas of the country.

i just browsed a load list for x-mas trees: dry Van rates vary- one load listed pays $7,000= 6 stops-2 Utah, 1 Kansas, 1 Louisiana & final 2 stops Texas...you'll ice down the trees you'll help w/unloading & after the trees are removed, you'll sweep out your trailer...it is what it is...it aint the best n it aint the worst. the rcvrs will normally unload you fcfs or will work you in with a phone call.
