I'm beginning to think that. After seeing him today he has money no doubt about that.Well im going to keep on looking and if I can't find anything i'll drive for him.Jobs you feel motivated about there's always something left out till the interview or u start working for them.

Don't know the ins and outs about contractors but do know about doubles. I went from OTR to LTL line haul hauling triples. Doubles was not even an issue and to be truthful even trips was not as bad as some want you to believe. The 2 MAJOR rules to remember are (1) the heaviest box goes first then on back (2) when breaking up a set always disconnect the trailer from the gear. Never try to disconnect the con gear from the pintle hook when still hooked to the trailer.

I drove a lot from Las Vegas to Tonopah and some to Reno with a layover. So if you've been out there some you know I went through some wind. As long as the boxes are hooked up correctly you'll have some wagging but never did I see my last box cross the white line. I would run into the UPS driver going the other way about 4am or so and Wayne would give me a shout to wake me from my power nap I compared with him about my up-coming job hauling gasoline and he had some very good benefits along with pay. I'm sure it's all change now but I do believe that the job you're looking at is a very good job where you plan your retirement. Good luck Patty and I hope you get it.

I get real bad vibes off this FedWrecks contractor...
...but then again 99% of all the FedWrecks contractors I've run across in my neck o' da woods, are all 1099 3rd world 'operations'.

It would be great if you could score a job with a company that has a known good reputation, which most of these FedX contractor types fail at.

Just hearing the 2 days per week was a red flag.

May I ask how much per mile was you receiving?I would be getting 38 cpm no pay for hooking and unhooking. When I applied I figured he would get the ball rolling right away but no 2 days later and he hasn't even started it.I sent numourous emails and called twice still nothing at least he couls have answered my email or call and update me.Now I wont start till a couple weeks. They don't need a drvier that bad otherwise he would have got the process rolling right away.

I agree, sounds like a ripoff.

I mean how long have you been driving patty?

I would straight up tell him, you replied to the ad with the intent of getting full time work and that's what you expect. Not this 2 day a crap. I'd give him an ultimatum, you either want my driving services or you dont? Then ask him, could you afford to pay your bills if all your drivers only worked 2 days a week? When he says, no, you ask him, well how is you expect me to be able to pay mine? I came here to work, but not just work 2 days a week, so what's it gonna be?
