You have NFI....
I for one won't haul anything at a rate I'm not happy with. The guys replying are the same.
I'm not running for myself right now but did have my own company for 10 years. Your not talking about knocking on doors. Your talking about getting paid by a broker then approaching his customer to deal directly. That's a dog act.
If that's how you want to play go for it. But I guarantee you don't negotiate a good rate to begin with which is why you do what you do...
Go back to the doghouse....

I'm not going to get into a pissing contest about it. As far as money management. Managing cash flow is money management. Cash flow is the numbers one thing to put a business, out of business. I'll give no one 45 day terms. Nothing questionable about it. That's called a solid business practice. As far as arrogance goes, I never called you arrogant. (Although you are coming off that way). No, I do not sit for free either. Lastly a no compete is legally binding, tell the judge your feelings on it. See how far that gets you. My guess not very far.

Oh well...
That one statement speaks for itself....lol
You too smart and quick to critique...yet...could not stay in the game for yourself...lol
I'm perfectly fine in the "dog house"...whatever that means to you
dont forget, it's a dog-eat-dog world out there.... -
Gentlemen, that's enough. Knock it off.

I sold my company to move to the states...
Ok sir I'm out.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
@noluck ... I respect that.
I just get tired of people who act like they know "everything" and any opposing view is to be suppressed, or "labeled".
Trucking is extremely competitive as it is already. Any edge I can get in the game, I'm all for it...but sitting back and saying "it's just trucking" makes all of us losers in the game.noluck Thanks this. -
I sure didn't mean to start a war. We are way off track on the OP's original question.
noluck Thanks this. -
I totally get where you are coming from. And it is dog eat dog. Some brokers are lying turds too. I make a note and either won't work with them again or burn their ### next time. I provide a top quality service and expect the same from them. I just know they are like most salesmen and are half full of it. They make deals all day, and drivers do just that. They drive all day. Until they get as good at bs's the bs'er they are going to get screwed. Again it's dog eat dog. I ain't mad at them, it's how the game is played. Sharks eat #### it's what they do. You just gotta learn how to eat sharks, right!

Be very careful about back soliciting customers off the better brokers. I get a couple of calls a week from customers warning me that carriers I've used have tried to back solicit them. I pretty much always blacklist them.
Also it's fairly scummy for a customer to ask a carrier if they want to go direct when they sourced the truck through a broker. I'd rather run my loads for scummy people through a reputable broker rather than take them direct if I owned a trucking company... Those customers usually want you to run the load for the rate the broker was paying you, and often suck at paying on time and are claim happy.Ruthless, Chasingthesky, LoudOne and 2 others Thank this. -
That's why in my first statement I said that it will bite you in the end. I agree I would rather work with a reputable broker than a questionable shipper. It has served me well in the past. Again I stress "reputable" broker.DDlighttruck and Ruthless Thank this.
