expungement is impossible in NC unless one was under 18 no one has a chance. In Texas I have been advised it may be possible, the TX charges are just plain wrong, I was sent a ticket in the mail based on a license plate, charged and the charges were dropped after the witness failed to properly id the driver. It was recorded as a conviction. I am working on that one. With only two on the criminal record I have a much better chance. Three makes is mostly impossible to find a company that will pay anything like a fair paycheck. I don't call .26/mile fair. I can see that for the first six months to start, but no longer than that. The average mileage I see advertised is .35 minimum for 6 months experience.

Thank you all very much for having an interest in my plight. I really appreciate the advice.

Nothing's impossible in NC. It's just a matter of having enough money to throw around, which is where it gets problematic. The state's crooked as all hell.

From what I have seen many starter companies are in the 0.26 - 0.28 CPM range. Many don't raise the new driver for one year.

Roehl was my first choice too. The told me no more than two dui in a lifetime. It hinges on getting that one from Texas removed from the record... I am working on that one. I got some hope from one of my AA buddies though... he has 8 dui on his record and is making over 60K driving produce with a local distributor in Hendersonville, NC. My back is acting up again. I am wondering if I can even hack the lifestyle required. I am sitting in Vocational Rehab as I write this, and just putting one foot in front of the other... where she stops nobody knows.

My son will be testing out from Swift soon and will be making .26 cpm when they have a truck available. The pay sucks but until he gets that first year in ;that's all he can expect. He had back surgery (fused discs)from hauling full beer kegs up and down flights of stairs. and is doing fine with the OTR experience so far. Will sitting and driving 11 hour shifts make you back your back worse? If it's repairable I would fix the back before going OTR.Medical problems should be corrected now ,once your OTR it's very hard to schedual DR. appointments.

I finally caught a break, The charge from Texas can be erased. I have papers in hand signed by a judge in 74 after succesful completion of probabtion that it shall be NOT recorded in my record. For some reason the clerk didn't bother to read that before she sent it to me and now I need to get it corrected. I think it shall not be too hard. That leaves me with only two in a lifetime.. not good but way better than three... and those two are over 20 years old. I have had three lower back surgeries already... and the surgeon said more are just not possible because of extensive arthritis... I can suck it up. After all I have been farming like this for ten years. Tractors are way rougher rides and constanly having to turn around twisting backwards to watch the implements.

    BigJohn54 Thanks this.
