I agree 100 percent with Trucking In Tennessee. You are NOT a safe driver and I wouldn't recommend you get behind the wheel of an 80k pound vehicle. You've had two at fault accidents in your personal vehicle where one involved totaling your car. Sorry, unless you're a stunt driver for CHIPs then there's zero excuse for that.
Have accidents pls help..

There are plenty of jobs out there right now. Why try this hard to be a truck driver? +1 to everyone telling you to go to trade school on your GI bill. Plumbers and electricians do fantastic.
EDIT: Seriously people need to be way more open to doing the best easy option available to them. It's not rocket science. Learn to install solar panels or something.Last edited: Jun 22, 2018

Until recently, commercial drivers in California who received off-duty traffic violations were not allowed to attend traffic school to have their citations dismissed or suppressed, until recently, putting their commercial licenses and jobs at risk.
However, the California Legislature passed AB 1888 January 1, 2013 , which allows truck drivers to qualify for traffic school in specific situations. -
BTW Missouri doesn't allow it either:

But he doesn't have his CDL, so technically he could attend driving school no matter where he lives.

Can you still be hired with that on your record? Absolutely. But not to Prime. Even prime will say come back in 3 years.
So here is what you do immediately... hire a lawyer and FIGHT that ticket. You need it knocked completely down to something like faulty wipers or something and if you just pay it and plead guilty you won’t be able to work at most trucking companies until it falls off.
A rear end collision and a rollover, or a cell phone or seatbelt ticket, a speeding 10-15+ over the limit... any of those things will be a HUGE red flag.x1Heavy, KajunPie and driverdriver Thank this. -
You don’t think that is a generalization?
Again, in response to his post, I’ll say it again......that is not true. -
As for the collision ticket - many states will cite the at fault driver in a collision solely to force their insurance company to pay for damages and injuries. Many times the DA will drop the charge after insurance has settled. If you're serious about making truck driving your career, then get a lawyer. Money well spent.Last edited: Jun 22, 2018
