Its pretty clear the OP needs more then just a little training. He's living in MD now so he'll need to get a MD permit or surrender his AZ permit and only has so many days to get that done.
Have Cdl Permit already can my training be completed quicker

Wow.. can't decide if this is a good trucking forum mystery..
Did he attend school in AZ and quit before getting his CDL...
Did he flunk out of the AZ school..
Was he driving OTR on a AZ permit illegally
Was Col. Mustard the instructor
Maybe it is trucker forum algebra
( AZ + MD) = (permit - CDL) = ??????????
You will get some good answers and advise if you are just upfront and give the details.. not your whole life story... just why did you not get your CDL in AZ, is AZ or MD going to be your permanent place of residence from this point forward, or will AZ remain your place of residence.. it isn't where you are currently at.. it is where your legal place of residency is..
When you say you have already been driving OTR was that with a trainer.. when you have a permit there has to be someone with a current CDL with you.. in the truck.. the same truck you are driving..
There are companies that don't require CDL school.. but usually require some experience.. like 6 months.. so if you could verify that experience through logs, and that you were on the insurance for that period of time and whoever the company or CDL holder you drover with would vouch for you.. then they would consider hiring you.. but, and here is the rub.. they will test first.. they will definitely give you a road test and make sure you can drive.. as well as turn and back.. some may even test other skills..
I sent a good candidate to a company who had 5 years experience, only drove for two companies and had no accidents, tickets or incidents... I thought he was a sure bet.. only he never even made into the owners office for the interview... they gave him a 10 question test on map reading and he failed.. he had always used his GPS and had no clue how to read a map..Last edited: Mar 29, 2017

Look bud, go to school or don't go to school, i don't care. Don't take out my hood or i might shoot you. You might think you're alright at driving but you're really not if you're new and you won't find out until it's too late. It takes time to get good, take all the practice you can get.
That said, you might want to look into schools that will just give you the cdl test and paperwork saying you went to school. A few companies will take you with just that and put you in relatively short training. I think Schneider is 3 weeks might be one of the shortest for a green driver.FireLotus Thanks this. -

Hello forum, I have tons of experience driving a pickup truck with a bass boat attached to the back, and my permit, so I don't need a lot of training, so which company will just toss me the keys to a shiny new Longnose ungoverned triple-digit Pete that uses paper logs and will pay me $100,000 a year?
