Looks great to me, going through a Community College is the way to go imo. I went to Sage in Florida through a local community college.

Price is about $500 cheaper than I paid 7 years ago. Sage does give one on one driving time and range practice is also one on one. Your link doesn’t mention that so it’ll probably be a few in the truck taking away from your driving time.

If you can swing a cheap motel for a few weeks I’d consider Sage just for the one on one training..otherwise the Community College near you will be a good choice.

    Good luck!

It looks like a bargain. I paid $3500 for my CDL school in 1997 .

I went to Roadmaster in Bethlehem pa and I did about over 180 hours. They teach you the basics but you really don’t learn anything until ur actually out there doing the job. So many things I didn’t know until I started working. It’s hard at first but I think I am slowly getting there.

    The more hours the better.

My school was 7.5 hours a day, 5 days a week for THREE MOUTHS...

if we won't on the road or in class we were on the backing range.

Also schools that use daycabs and 28 ft trailers aren't helping you because that's not what you'll be driving. My school used long nose Pete's and 53 ft trailers

Also my school in 2004 was $1,200 and in Tennessee

If you go to a 38 hour CDL school you are limited to getting hired at only a few companies.

Find the company that will hire you BEFORE you decide about CDL school. You wouldn't start walking and only later decide where you are going. You would decide where to go and then start walking.
