Read up on asset forfeiture. Many complain it's not constitutional, but it's become the norm. Get pulled over with a couple grand cash on you, gone. All of the cases have funny names names like 'State vs. Mercedes Benz" or "State Vs. 1200 Main St." They actually charge the posession with a crime.

And, my dad was a cop for 12 years in a major city before becoming a trucker. (Though it wasn't his choice to leave the force)

Sadly, most asset forfeiture IS extremely unconstitutional. This is why people NEED to speak up with what is happening to them. We live in an information world, we need to educate ourselves, and stand firmly on our freedoms... or we will not have them anymore.

There are action groups that can help... (ie The Evergreen Freedom Foundation, MAS Freedom Foundation, The Future of Freedom Foundation, Amnesty International... ect ect).

Fortunately, higher courts including the Supreme Court still(much to the dismay of some) vigorously defend the Constitution.... AND WE the PEOPLE MUST keep it that way.
