hey guys am here in michigan I managed to make some guy angry at the weigh station for driving to slow.I put him on ignore.I also just encountered my first lot lizard at the rest area she banged on my door and offered to show me her wares.I politely said no thank you and she scurried off into the darkness so far I am not impressed with michigan. On the plus side I got my aircard working will post more later.

Daytona, you really have done a great job with this thread. I'm trying to decide on a school myself here in California. Have you heard anything about CR England?
-
Good job Daytona. Keep up your posts. I hope to see you out there some day.
CR England has bad press on this site. -
A load was picked up and is a load of dead batteries. Don't have hazmat endorsement. Companyh says it's not a hazmatload, but bill or laden says otherwise. If I took the load off the shippers ground and later realized that I was lied to. If I refuse to move the lkoad any further, can i get in trouble. Trailer is not even placard. BOL says batteries, wet, filled with acid, but company says they are dead batteries. Help please
-
KW, call your dispatch as soon as possible. If your BOL states, I'd go with that. I would refuse the load w/o an endorsement.
-
Called boss, and he tried to assure me that it wasn't hazmat load, BOL says otherwise. Company says we have to run illegal. I want to leave the truck and load at the truckstop for one of their other drivers to pick up. WillI get in trouble if I quit and leave the truck?
-
I would not haul the load but WOULD NOT leave the truck so they could not say you abandoned it.
-
Is your dispatcher your boss or is your driver manager your boss? I wouldn't leave that truck for nothing and keep it right where its at until you get someone higher up, your driver or terminal manager. You tell them to get a driver to come get it at the yard your at, not at some truck stop, or unhook and tell them your bringing them the keys to your tractor at their terminal. Not a hazmat because the batteries are dead but the BOL states other wise, thats a good one LOL!!Thats what I'd doooooo.....
-
If the company refuses to send a driver out to get the load, what do you suggest I do so they don't get me for abandament. Should I leave the load there and take the truck back? I know I can't move load, but refuse to work for a company that says I have to run illegal.
