If you can drink responsibly, and not have to get carried out of the bar every night, you'll be fine.
You'll learn where to park at quick enough,
Most of the comments here will be complete nonsense, -
I have a few beers a week and a glass of wine here and there. I expect to be dry for a while once I get out there. Was just curious.

Airline pilots have been caught and it aint pretty.
The prudent and responsible thing to do is abstain while on the road.
I wouldn't advise having any accidents or incidents, DOT has ZERO tolerance. If you have a CDL you already know this. You are held to a higher standard. Drink at home.Bean Jr., NavigatorWife, Tonythetruckerdude and 1 other person Thank this. -

My Dad is an airline pilot. He has a beer or two sometimes on an overnight with his crew. HOWEVER, he is never in uniform when he drinks and so very few people would know he's a pilot.
The problem for truckers is that It would be obvious when you see a guy with pj pants and flip flops go into Loves, buy a six, and head to his truck.rachi, NavigatorWife, taxihacker66 and 2 others Thank this. -
When I buy beer in a truckstop I wear my swift hat, JB shirt and prime sweatpants.... and my werner steel toed flip flops.
