HaHa The only time and place I ever drank on the road, was when I was leased to Landstar, and was stuck in Laredo for a couple of days with a couple other Landstar guys. And guess what the cops checked us out. But when you're stuck in that hot hell hole looking for a load, you need a drink.texasbbqbest Thanks this.

True story: I was camped outside the port of Tulsa for the night had the grill fired up cooking a steak and some red bell peppers and drinking a Guinness. Local cop that does the night patrol came by cuz he saw the fire. Man was he upset!! He was upset cuz he asked if I had enough to share and I told him no.

I just have a hell of a lot of fun mentioning the cold beer Im going to drink and seeing the eye brows of all the minions raise as I leave the yard to go home every night! Sometimes I actually stop and have a cold one on the way home, just cause I am an outlaw type!
texasbbqbest, Arkansas and Cottonmouth85 Thank this. -
Part of what's wrong with this world is there are people out there who would love to call the law on a driver if they saw him getting into his truck with a six pack. Even if he's shut down for the night. Instead of minding their own business. They would love to get someone fired or arrested for absolutely nothing. The world is full of them an a lot of them are fellow drivers.

And my company can test me for drugs any time they want, even on my hometime, now, testing for alcohol is another story, but rest assured, when I drive a cmv, I'm clean, I even have a 16 ounce limit before I drive my personal vehicle.
I should reword that last part -
Perfectly said Tolson.
