having a hard time getting a hazmat job

Hey guys new here on the forum. i'm based out of Houston, having a hard time getting a job hauling fuel or oil. Ive had my CDL for about 1 1/2 years. Currently working for a cement company. My question is does anyone have any recommendations or knowledge how to get into a company? thanks in advance

 

You already have hm and tanker endorsements ?

 

yes, got them a little over a month ago. no experience in it though

 

Quala has some mini terminals there near deerpark and possibly laporte. Go knock on doors. National tank wash is owned by trimac and has offices there. It down road towsrds water from Loves.
Things are a little slow in the tanker world, so it might take a little bit of time. But Houston is Chemical capital of USA.

 

i know theres so much oil and gas here. Thanks i'll make sure to look into those companies and physically going to places.

 

Then there is gas..... cyro jobs pay well. Genox is headquartered in Deer park and other stuff in laporte too
