Having an issue with the pto light not going off.

Need help

 

If the pto is off, and just the light is on your ok. Its most likely just a sensor, or bad wire.

 

Sounds like a short somewhere, mine was used sleeper by the frame. Small wear spot in shielding.

 

will it drain the battery down?

Check the connect on pto, might have trash in it. Unplug it and run without it if it is your truck.
My truck pto light was for telling you it was on, and to tell computer not to re-gen.

 

I'll try that cjb. my pto light is for same thing. I know its not on but the stupid light won't go off
