    Hey people,
I am studying for my Hazmat Endorsement, I haven't had the endorsement since 1991, and want to get it back. To open up more options to local jobs.

I have been studying steadily for 3 days and it just doesn't sink in as well as I would like it to, guess I am getting older eh?:biggrin_2552:

So I am going to ask:What is the minimum pass/fail for the test?:biggrin_255:

I went to a website called Crist online testing, and did the testing they had available.

It is basically the same as all other test just a little more difficult. You will also need to do the background check that will cost about another $ 100.00

also go to Seniders sp? website they have some tests on there.

I believe you need 70% to pass but it's multiple choice and not too hard . In the KY commercial drivers book the note certain information saying "This may be asked on the test " . Concentrating on that info pretty much assures passing .

I think the Hazmat test I took was like 35 questions and you could only miss 7 I believe, from what I can remember about it.:biggrin_25519:

Oh wonderful, I am going to ask my 16yr old for some study tips. He is the honors student, and he didn't get his smarts from me!!

All of the answers are in the book just remember it is a can answer test , what you will read is what it is. So it would be a good idea to have your son read a question to you and tell him to see if you are right. In Michigan you can take it over the same day if you should have trouble.

In CT the test is 10 questions you need an 80 to pass. All questions on test were on crist site.

Don't sell yourself short, I'm not a college boy and I passed the test with a 100% after studying for a couple of hours. All the correct answers are there in front of you, you passed the CDL test, you'll pass the Hazmat test too.

It depends where you take the test. I took it in Hawaii. The test was verbatem from the Crist tests. No sweat. When I took it in Indiana, it was more real life questions, that you have to know your stuff. So you want your Hazmat. Please know what you are supposed to know when you are under the load becuse so much can go wrong. It's not just a test, you are the steward of the cargo. They just want to know that you know what to do...
