I have my TWIC, but need to get my HME..........you supplied the information from the TSA saying that going from HME to TWIC is ok, but can you go from TWIC to HME or do you have to do the background check again?
I was unable to find that tidbit you posted on TSA's site.........must have overlooked it.![]()

California law, you must retest every two years, to keep your haz endorsement current on your cdl. Yep, the fee is $92 depending on where you get finger printed. We haul mostly haz at my company, and i was required to get my 40hr hazwoper cert. From osha. I think it has a lot to do with $$$$, but ive been in situations where the training has come into play. So having your haz endorsements or certificates are good to have, even if you just want to add them in as part of your resume.
Just wanted to say thanks too all you hard working truckers, rollin hard to make money and support your families!!god bless -

I have a question. How often do I need to get a TSA background check done for my HM endorsement? I had it done two years ago and now that my license is up for renewal and I have to renew my HM cert., I have been informed that they - I live in CA - want another TSA check done as well.
Thanks for your input.
