Thanks. That's my biggest worry is all the learning, but learning something is a good thing keep me on my toes. I'm coming from food service.

You'll think it's a walk in the park. Handling hoses is a lot easier than handling hand trucks IMHO.Buffalonytrucker92 Thanks this.

There's a Valdosta, Georgia location shown on part of the website but not listed in other places. Do you know anything about that location?
-
No unfortunately not. Best to just call and talk to them.Leviathan Tube and Buffalonytrucker92 Thank this.

I believe they're dedicated to Dupont in Valdosta. I used to deliver to their plant on Rocky Ford Rd and see a daycab in there. I no longer work for Hazmat Environmental so things might have changed.Leviathan Tube Thanks this.

I read on another site that the hours are stressful. Lots of night shifts. Another reviewer said there wasn't enough work. Of course, those two are kind of contradictory, but any feedback on those issues?

Like any trucking company some like it some don't. Biggest thing I see is guys live to far from the yard and can't go home cause it doesn't make sense. 2 guys here one recently quit live like 90+ miles from the yard and don't want a 3 hour commute back. Get in the day/evening before head home (strange concept to many it seems) and come back the next day and head out. It works for me. I don't live to work so I'm not the best person to ask about wanting to stay out extra. I personally like sleeping in my bed more than the truck. I'm never gonna get rich driving truck I'm just looking for a comfortable balance.

I'd be looking for OTR, with long periods out. Mainly wondering if something about the customers requires weird pickup/delivery hours.
-
They definitely have that. A friend of mine stays out 3+ weeks at a time here. Definitely might depend on the location/customer base for that area. Tank guys here in Buffalo can stay out if it's available. Just have to communicate what you want and they've been honest at least with me what's available. They learn how guys like to run and do what they can. They know on a Friday I won't complain about a short run everyone else hates going to. I like a steak and happy hour so we both win.Buffalonytrucker92 and Leviathan Tube Thank this.

So the money is there in Buffalo if you want to work? My biggest thing is I know on indeed someone left a comment saying they weren't getting the miles. Is there a slow time for tanker?
