That would be a good option and cheaper. I got the flip cards because I didn’t know what types of shippers I would go to and if they were sloppy shippers. Like printing your own bills for ports and construction sites. You have to decide. I have only done 3-4 hazmat loads.

In what time frame? I know that there isn’t very many hazmat loads For flatbed or Stepdeck but I have encountered them numerous times and wasn’t able to take it because I didn’t have my hazmat endorsement.

The shipper is required to provide the proper placards.
Those flip placard holders will get you in trouble in most states.

    AFC Thanks this.

Only supposed to be one placard. Florida and a couple other states will say something in an inspection.

I have multiple placards on all 4 sides on my flat and drop deck and have never had anyone say anything about one placard.
Their are times that I have 3-4 showing after loading.
Never had a violation for Has mat.

That’s why I went with 2 on each side. One flip card with 17 legends (bummed it didn’t have 18 with radioactive) and one holder. In case the shipper was shipping multiple hazmat items. Here’s how I did it. The front ones are the only ones I didn’t rivet so I can remove them if needed. if the front had 2 stake pockets I would have just mounted them on a 2x4 or something to put them on. Might have 2 made so I can weld them on and use stake pockets instead. But for now this works.

You can buy the stake pockets and bolt them or weld on front of trailer.
    Parts house has them .
I use magnets and have not lost one yet on the front.
Most of the people around here use C channel for using in pockets of trailers.
If you don't have the panel you need you can alway drill out the rivets and add what you need.
You can buy panels or find them on the side of the road ( much cheaper ) I find all kinds of stuff always looking ...

That’s what I plan to do in the future. I’ll get the stake pockets and have them welded on. My trailers all aluminum, I didn’t think the magnets would work but it is a good idea. As for the panels I think the only one it’s missing is radioactive, it has everything else.
