That's exactly what I'm hauling -- UN1993 -- in 275 gal plastic totes (roughly 2500 lbs). Just can't seem to find the blasted placards with the white bottom corner.

Out of curiosity (not trying to be difficult), I see on the FMCSA website that they don't seem to show the Combustible placard as having that white bottom corner.

Also, what do you guys make of DOT § 172.504(f)(2)?

    I appreciate the replies!

First off combustible is a US designation and it is going away.

It is permissible to 'overplacard' a combustible w/ a flammable.

When Krajack ran 8 cmpts and several were combustible, the were identified down the sides and we had generic flammables front & rear.
I used to have the letter from PA apologising for a rookie haz mat trooper who thought other wise.

    Here is part of 172.504:

    (2) A FLAMMABLE placard may be used in place of a COMBUSTIBLE placard on—
    (i) A cargo tank or portable tank.
(ii) A compartmented tank car which contains both flammable and combustible liquids.

The op's 275 gal totes should fit in here too.
