I have hazmat on my license and twic card
rachi Thanks this. -
I think you misunderstood. Letter says if you do not renew they will cancel CDL. Or you must file another form stating why you don't want the HME.
They aren't my rules.
And it's not a person making idle threats. Letter is from ADOT.Last edited: Feb 13, 2016

CA, AZ, UT, IN, & PA are all reciprocal with each other. Those are the 5 states that if you hold a CDL in one, you can transfer to any state with no test.
Like if you have a Texas CDL, and you move to AZ, you're taking the whole test to get your license, driving, obstacle, the whole 9.rachi Thanks this. -

It's a federal thing. Not a state thing.
Test everytime you renew your license, fingerprints every 5 years. For those of you who did teh whole bang with your license.
Those of us who did it in the middle of our 5 year timeframe. Gets to do the fingerprints. And the test is done on license renewal. Every 2 1/2 years i'm either fingerprinting or testing. If i don't. I get a letter saying my license is cancelled.
For whatever reason, i didn't get the letter last year. I was driving around for 30 days with no license. The only reason i found out. The office called and said their insurance ran my MVR. This was last August.
The phone numbers are also disconnected around here. I walked in for my fingerprints but had to wait for the 2 appts that somehow made an appt. Those 2 ladies were in for TWIC. -
Mine has been good for 4 years at a pop, this one is 5. This is the DHS end of it.
Everytime I renew my CDL I have to take the ADOT quiz. -
Do you have to go thru the whole FBI background check again? Cause here in cali you do.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
