I checked with Rand Motor Carriers and didn't see anything obvious there. Other than a big 'ole sign on the interstate, what resources are available that will definitively alert/inform you of HazMat routing?

Good question. I’ve never looked into that. You could ask @Mark Kling . He is the resident Rand electronics expert.

    Google “allstays hazmat”.

Well, as a general rule avoid tunnels. The ones on the PA Turnpike have a few exceptions though.

Otherwise, I haven’t really encountered any other than those put up in Baltimore on a temporary basis due to events drawing a large crowd.

Used to be anyone hauling explosives had to be escorted across any bridges around these parts.

was picking up a hazmat load in Boston the guy next too me was a Russian I was putting on my placards when he came out he threw his in his cab and was getting ready to leave I asked him about the placards and in broken English told me he couldn't run with placards because he couldn't get a hazmat endorsement because of going through tsa and he wasn't legal resident .............. (Illinois plated old volvo )
