Wait till you go for your fingerprints. Some agencies make you pay separately for that too. My local Sheriffs office did it same day, FREE.

Just got put on a load hauling 2794 class 8 corrosive
Shipper has no placards
Can i just use
Corrosive
8
?
Truckstops don't sell one with 2794 on it

just get a blank class 8 placard (I know Pilot sells them) and write in the number with a black marker.

 

The background is black so the letters would have to be white
I'm just running with the generic class 8

You can REFUSE load. In fact you should have.
Shipper is REQUIRED to supply placards. By LAW.
But yes appropriate placard is straight 8, only ever use numbers if hauling in bulk totes (those 4x4x4 plastic tanks in metal frames, or if you're hauling a tanker) But then you also need a tank endorsement.

 

Renewed mine today. had to renew license as well. 143 bucks for license, X endorsement, motorcycle, finnerprints, background check. I said yall are killin me lol -

 

The last time I did mine, it came down to the last question, and thank God it was something like " Does 400 pounds of class 1 division 1 need to be placarded. "
Just passed. Cause if you fail, you have to wait 24 hours to retest lol.

 

Yep, I flubbed it yesterday. missed two easy ones because I dint study the dang book.

On a positive note, the lady at the office was very nice.
