If you have had fingerprints and a background check in the past for hazmat do you have to get it done again

Every two years you do it all over again. If you already have the endorsement.

When applying for HAZ the print verification can't be more than 90 days old.

Out here, it goes by the date of expiration of the CDl, which is every 5 years. You go for the finger printing and have to take the written test. If it is 2 years in your state, so be it, I cannot argue that. But most times from my understanding, time to renew CDL, time to renew hazmat endorsement.

Did not know that. Colorado is every two years. Looks to very depending on the state your CDL is issued in. Just checked the TSA sight. They make us go through the whole process every time. My apologies for the misleading info above.

no, not misleading, you simply went by what your state does.

Every 2 years in Ohio, too. Re-fingerprint and test.

Allow plenty of time for the TSA check. Can take 30 - 45 days. Mine took 2 weeks. Hubby's took 4.

I have had the run of the gambit for security clearances but still jump through the hazmat hoops also, 3 years here though.
