A lot of times companies just get top heavy and want to get rid of people. Worked for one, the more senorioty you got the less they liked you. Said "We can hire a 22 yr old for a 1/3 what you make" I'd take my experience to a good company that wants me.

I think owner operators are considered independent contracters and not employee's,but after going back in a company truck 2 years ago I don't know,fighting it might not be a bad idea

ALWAYS look into fighting it. Lawyer may say "forget it", but you will definitely lose if you never open the door.
I don't think any of us here is a lawyer, or really qualified to answer the specifics -
Right to Work laws have nothing to do with terminations. The Right to Work law deals with unions and your right to work in a union shop and not join the union. However, you do have some states that can terminate "at will" which means they can fire you and you have no recourse. Your state DOES have the "at will' law so you can be fired for any reason they choose. Your three write ups might be a company policy but is not a state law.
