Look really nice. I could be wrong but I don't think the roll up one would be great in the winter

I had an open one when I first started out. Now that I know to compare, they suck! Never again! In the winter all the road grime just sits in the bottom then the snow and ice just pack in on top of that. Then you are beating on the thing or trying to dig out your chains from a solid chunk of ice. I think enclosed headache racks are way overpriced. However, I willingly forked over my cash for the convenience factor.

I was going to do one with the 2 small boxes on either side by the frame rail and a step box under the center cutout between the frame rails. That was until I seen what they wanted for it. Like $8kish. Nope

I am guilty of wishing I had one of these Iconic roll up door ones.
I am in the south and won’t be up north all that much in the real nasty stuff. I think with so,e proper care these roll ups would be good. Same type of doors used on fire trucks etc.
Love the easy access and protection they offers. But, at that price tag it won’t happen anytime soon. I have seen they require 1 inch padding between frame and rack as they can crack along the area from corner to upper door.

Yes the one I posted the drawing of started at 4800 but one thing the actually say it's a headache rack to prevent objects from entering the cab where other companies say the opposite. The even sent me pictures of a load of lumber that slid forward and damaged the box but it would have been worse if it was not there
