    Evomalo, I've had my cdl for over 10 years, but haven't drove otr in 2 years, they told me 50 to 100 hour with trainer.

    That depends on the which school you went to and where you are applying. True, if you went to a Swift school and are going to Swift orientation you will not need to take a road test. If you are going to Swift orientation from any other school you will be required to road test at Swift prior to continuing the orientation process.

    EVerybody does the road test at least in jtown they did....

    ...maybe no one in my class went to swift driver school...so I retract my previous post lol

    Makes sense that they wanna get there money .....

    Dont be so sure...they threw me a set of keys that friday and said go get em!!!! Lol

    I went to Shippers' Choice and I didn't have to take a road test. I wasn't sure if you we're referring to just a Swift Academy or not.

    The only thing people said that took the road test was they was not hard with anyone. The main thing is just be safe. Some said they had trouble finding the right gears. They were tested on a nine speed and most were used to a ten speed. When I first started training the nine speed was giving me trouble.
