When I got up this morning and checked my eobr it showed that I was still on duty. I know that when I stopped on Saturday I put me off duty and made the note...34 hr reset. So I changed it to off duty and thought that would be the end of it. I then noticed that it showed me prior to the on duty from Sunday at 0930, that I had been driving for 27 hours straight. This I can not change.
So I called extended services who put me through to Bobby in Safety. They woke up him...sorry about that.
I asked him if I could go on paper logs until they got this corrected he said no because I was on electronic logs and was in violation. I said I was not in violation only the computer thought I was.
He said he could do nothing until he talks with his boss probably around 0800 cst.
So my week is not getting off to a good start.
This unit has been giving me errors ever since I got it. They usually correct themselves right away.
I have bobby on the line and on their system they show that I am ok, so we are trying to do a conference call with Qualcom.
I will let you know what happens!

Thats good. It would suck if they tried to stick you with those driving hours.

try 58, I saw 8.25 running 58 instead of 57. I usually run 64ish, feathering the pedal for hills and etc.... averages around 7.5

my EOBR changes my to on duty all the time, I just edit it and move on. I thought I just forgot to change my duty status a couple of times, and very well may have. But there's several times I know #### well I changed it, look at it the next morning, and its been on duty all night.

My elog (I'm not at Maverick) doesn't even put in places that I have status duty changes. I started in OH, went to Indy and D&H (didn't show) went to Petro at Gaston IN and fueled, then to Defiance OH to unload (didnt show either.) Took break in Anderson and came back to terminal in IL and went home.

Came in on Monday to find out that my Qualcomm says I have been driving non stop since I fueld in Gaston and was in serious violation. Stuff like this happens all the time.

Also can be going down flat roads and empty and it will beep at me and say im doing 72 in a governed 62 MPH truck. We haven't had any problems in any other year trucks but the 2011 - 2012 trucks. I guess Qualcomm doesn't like new trucks.

Well it has been an interesting week. I hit a deer last night. looked like an 6 to 8 point buck. Decent body mass.
My first reaction was to steer away from it..just for a split second. Then what I had gone over in my mind kicked in...Maverick says to just hit it and do not try to swerve...so it seemed like an eternity..but only a second....wham.....it went under the left front steer tire. It only took out the fog light and that panel. I am at the freightliner in Mt Vernon Il having it checked out. Not sure what they can do other than to make sure that there is nothing else wrong with it. It drove fine all the way to the pilot last night. You never know, I may have saved someones life in a car. I sure would not have wanted to hit it with a car....that is for sure.

It made me think, that if that qualcom had never messed up I would have been 3 hours ahead of when I started and would not have been there when that buck crossed the highway...makes me scratch my head and say what if...lol

After I unloaded at Hirshvogel I got a load to pick up at Mittal/Columbus processing on Alum Creek @ 1800. So when I got there I decided to do the split sleeper birth so that I could make it to Sonora Ky that night. I may have had enough time, but did not want to take the chance and run out of hours. So I got 10 hrs back after the sleeper birth...more than enough for the 5 hr drive.
While I was waiting I saw on the tv that there was a tornado warning all around ohio and definitely on the way down on I71 south.
I hit that storm full force...right at me. At times I could only go about 30 mph because of the rain and when it was not raining real hard the wind made it hard for me to go 50.
As soon as the rain started my waring buzzer started going off saying that my parking break was on. I stopped and made sure everything was ok and kept going.
It did not stop dinging until I set the brakes again in Florence Ky. Then it went back to normal.
I made it down to Sonora no problem.
I delivered at Steel Tech in Madison Ms around 2000 and spent the night there.
I had let Graylan know that I was going to deliver late and he got me a pre plan to pick up at Roseburg Forrest Products in Louisville MS.
Arrived there at 0730 and they got me loaded right away.
Everything was beautiful until I met the buck last night! I guess the Buck really does stop here...lol...couldn't resist.

So I have to deliver this particle board by 1400. I am about 57 miles away. It is going to Teutopolis. Not sure what will happen then, because I doubt if they have a panel in the color I need....but we shall see!
By the way, this drivers lounge at the Freightliner Dealer is first class....free wi fi and all!

Well as I know you are aware, it also depends on what load you have on, terrain, wind ect.
I was doing over 8 with the wind at my back and then I had to turn right into and it dropped down under 7.
I always do a hard calculation as you can not always go by what the truck computer says. Sometimes it is spot on, other times it is off.

They could see right away that it was a problem with the system.
The tech support from Qualcom was not much help at all.

    On another note Dan,

I want to apologize for my reaction to your "show me" a while ago.
I was wrong and way out of line!:biggrin_25514:

Aww no skin off my nose,Ive been truckin too long to let somethinh as minor as that rile me lol. Though I did keep an eye out for those without e-logs for awhile but the only guys I found were either having issues with their elog and were temporarily on paper or I believe some or maybe all of the sand guys might be still on paper due to them being local I think. It could be they are elog now too though since supposedly according to MJ we are 100% elogs now.
