no restart in the qualcomm shows that I have less hours on my 70 than what it shows in the portion which shows are your hours for the week
but I have to go by what shows so it'll be fun

Got home Friday afternoon & parked the truck up the road at the J for the week. I'll be leaving in the morning for FL for a week of training. After next week, I'll only have one more training to do. And that will be the big one. Six months long.

Well we got everything figured out for the new dedicated run. Got home Saturday morning. Have to go to Gary Monday morning to get me a trailer and then back on US division. It's going to take three weeks or so to get the new trucks and trailers set up for the new dedicated run that I was working on.

When the new dedicated starts and if I go on it I will tell you all about it then. Don't want to say anything about what it is until maverick actually has the contract and running it.

Jim your a professional truck driver. You'll be fine going in the New York don't get all wound up. New York is just like any other big city just a hell of lot more of it. I don't like going there myself heck I don't even like the East Coast at all and I won't even bring up New England.

Rick I hope the reefer division works out well for you. Like I say if I can eat it I will not haul it. But I'm glad there's people that will. A old steel haulers mentality and food ware houses do not mix !!

Have a great weekend, drive safe and enjoy the ride.

    JimTheHut Thanks this.

TCD training consists of "open the doors, close the doors", "left one first, then right one"

Well I have been up and down the route and streets using google earth/maps. I am sure I will recognize it when the sun comes up. As long as no one is parked in the wrong spot and I can grab one of the parking spots in front of the building, I will be fine. If not , then I will be driving around the block for a couple of hours. Everyone tells me you need to be across the bridges and where you are going by 6 or you are going to be stuck in traffic.
The only other time I had to go in was to long island and I went across around 0500 and it was easy.
Coming back across at lunch time was a different story.
When you hear all of the horror stories, it causes you to pucker up...lol

There's a bit more to it than that. Although they may look the same as a dry van, air flow has to be considered when loading then there's the extra pre-trip on the unit and another fuel tank to remember.
