We must have been running up I-75 the same night, Thursday. I heard about the accident at the split so I jumped on I-275 and made it around to the top there and parked it for the night at our terminal in North Cinci. I was white knuckled as all going through those heavy rains and wind. The next morning I left out at 10am for a 13:30 delivery only 130 miles away. It took me 6 hours to get to Kenton OH due to the snow storm that hit up that way. Crazy stuff.

    Merry Christmas!

Sounds like you got one of my runs there Jim. We did have a few guys off towards the latter part of the week. We p/u in Rockport all the time, and deliver to Liberty Steel in N. Jackson alot. In fact that was my last delivery on Wednesday b4 deadheading home. Glad it worked out for you.

Got to the truck this morning, loaded up my gear, went to fire it up.......nothing. Great. I guess she didn't want to work on Christmas either! Lol
Called into extended and it goes directly to someone's cell phone. I explained the situation to him....I have battery power but the transmission is in 9th gear. He tells me to send in a breakdown macro....ok
I tried to send in a breakdown and notice that the qualcomm has decided that if I'm in 9th gear there will be no message sending or reading and also it figured that it also should be running my drive clock! Clock is ticking away and I haven't even cranked the engine yet....nice
Called extended back (or whomever was playing extended) and he gave me the number for Fleetnet. I explained my situation to the gentleman with fleetnet and he says 'I will call you back when we figure out who is coming to help' I was thinking....'no one on Christmas morning at 6am!'
He calls back on walks me through a "reset" procedure for the transmission. It worked! Fired right up. I wrote this procedure down for my own future reference...but I will post it here also. Might help one of y'all someday too!

No brake pedal action is required during the reset
    Key on in run position
    Transmission in auto mode
Pull up on the paddle and release
Push down on the paddle and hold
While pushing down, cycle into drive then up to reverse
Continue to hold down and cycle again
Release paddle and put selector in neutral
At this point my trans went to neutral. But he said to wait 20 minutes and try to start it. I told him it showed neutral wo he said try it. Fired right up!

I just measured 5 1/2 inches of snow out the back door. Most of us know Arkansas figures if God put it there then he can take it away. My wife says she doesn't care where Maverick says I have to go. She says I ain't going no place tomorrow. Jonesboro is supposed to be getting a blizzard tonight and I really don't feel like driving up there empty.

I called in three times this morning- was forwarded to Extended Services each time, no answer, phone just rang and rang.... They are probably minimally staffed in there right now, and most likely getting HAMMERED with calls. I guess I am not loading today LOL.....

I'm not going...truck done or not. The wife and I are both sick and the same blizzard that went through Arkansas is now in Indianapolis. Even with all their experience and equipment, it'll take them a couple of days to recover. It's supposed to refreeze here again tonight.

Yeah, just made the trek out to my truck across town to check my QUALCOMM. It is very very bad here in the Dayton OH area. Called out on my cb to anyone who may be out on I-75 and one replied to me "stay off the roads, don't come out unless you absolutely have to..." Messaged Maverick on QUALCOMM, they said to check back tomorrow. They had messaged our whole dedicated fleet asking for condition updates at our locations. I doubt hardly anyone is running today for PLD. Our entire operating area is in blizzard right now. It looks like Arkansas got hammered real good last night too.

Yea we did. I called my FM at home (he lives in Springdale and stays in a motor home when he's in NLR). I told him we were both sick and I had no business being out in the cold. The major roads here are thawing but it's supposed to get down to 15 tonight so it'll all refreeze and be nasty. At my place in life right now I don't need or have to deal with it unless I'm already out in it.

My cold is getting worse. If I'm not any better in the morning, I may stay home another day.
