Good luck on your CDL road test and I hope you get a good mentor. I was in class 722 back in May/June and still keep in touch with a few of my classmates. Make the most of your OTR training!

Thanks a lot! I am having a blast. I was scared to death when I started this. But I have been surprised at how easy it was for me to pick up. Been having a blast at Columbus Terminal. Great Road Instructor, and for some reason my brain just gets it. I thought it would be hard but road training is easy and I really am looking forward to the CDL test. Going to be good. See ya down the road.

How far do you have to live from a SWIFT terminal to be able to take your truck "home"? The closest terminal to me is in Columbus, Ohio which is (According to MapQuest and Google using shortest miles) 97.00 miles from zip to zip; and 103 miles from the actual terminal address to my home address.

We have been doing our road training at the columbus terminal. We are also doing our CDL test there as well. I've been told that they will give us a load to our home city and if there is not a load close enough that we can drop our trailer at the columbus terminal and bobtail home. I live in Cincinnati and I have been told that is okay to do as long as I have the time remaining to make it home. I live 118 miles from the terminal.

Lol, read Jon's post about my 95% classroom I had averaged it with range pretrip thus added 1% my bad I think it was actually 95.3% I think. Personally, first second, third... etc at this point is a mute point, we all passed is what matters. Hope home time is well for ya, I know mine is see ya on Sunday.

According to what I have read/been told over 50 miles from home terminal. I personally live in Port Clinton which is 125-127m from Terminal using Google maps I take the latter route it's easier.
