Hubby and I are heading to orientation Oct. 29th. We are checking into the hotel on the 28th. Maybe we'll see you there!

Does anyone know if they still put people up at the Days Inn, 1408 W. Sugar Creek Road?

I am headed to orientation on the 25th, Fontana CA. Will keep my eyes and ears open for any info that may be useful to you. Who knows maybe someone there will be in the same position.

I already left my previous employer (not recommending that, my situation is different) so kinda hoping everything goes well from here on out myself!

The recruiter told me once you have your driver # then you are basically hired. I assume that probably won't happen until heading out with the trainer or maybe not til after SQT :dontknow:

This past week I decided not to go through with it. Heard too many horror stories, and low pay stories, slip seating stories. Orientation only paid $150, that was a major turn off, I can make that in 7 hrs at my current rate of pay. I will miss out on the adventure though.

You must have been one of the no shows, if you were scheduled to be there this week. I'm very happy with my decision. I don't have time to get too much into detail right now, they're keeping me busy this week, but if you ever decide to go otr I highly recommend Schneider.

hazmzt9777,don't beat yourself up over not going.
Don't throw away a sure thing with your current job.Ask those recruiters to tell you how many drivers they keep, and how many quit after 6 mnths.
I,had to quit my job with no notice to make orientation .Recruiter made it seem like I had to pull the trigger. If I were to pull that same stunt with Schneider, they would put it on my dac.

Probably so, though I did call my recruiter to tell her that I would not be there, so I dont feel like I totally did them wrong.

opus7: A recruiter at SNI made you pull the trigger on your job so you could come to orientation?

Ive heard too many of those work for a week or 2 then they tell you something went wrong and your fired stories to quit before I am sure I have a job and that Im going to keep it.
