SNI does not require you contact an employer and quit, while in orientation. However, I wouldn't expect them to "not" contact that employer. After all, you "have" quit, if you're sitting in orientation.
Nor do they slip seat OTR drivers.
In my case, I DO slip seat. That is by choice since I work 14/7.
Low pay horror stories. Yes, I hear those every week here at Schneider. I've learned to keep my mouth shut, when speaking to those drivers. I don't have time to explain to them, why I earn in 2 weeks, what they earn in 3. We BOTH know why that is.
Not trying to sell you on the company. But I am very pleased with the way I have been treated....and paid. And if you've read any of the threads I've posted on....I'm very opinionated and proud to express that opinion. I'm no different in person. And Schneider has "tolerated" that, and made good on EVERY promise they have made to me.
I made it a point to stay at our OC today, and thank that person (6 months later) for standing behind their promise. Why so long? Just call me paranoid. I'm used to seeing companies and management forget those promises....after a couple of weeks or months.
The pay could be better. But I could be working a lot harder too.![]()
