Any suggestions for a good headlamp flashlight. By headlamp I mean the flashlight that straps to your head. I've tried several somewhat cheapies under $20. Looking for something bright and a fairly good width beam. I have a good flashlight super bright and strobe, streamlight protac 2L. I highly recommend the Protac 2L I would like a similarly bright headlamp so i stop holding it with my teeth, any recommendations?

If you're a streamlight fan, why not get one of theirs? Chargeable, non- rechargeable, and a variety of mounting options. I'm partial to streamlight having used their stuff while in LE for a number of years.

Surefire probably has the most expensive headlamp option called the minimus, price no object.

My combo x-ray/night time eyes that the government equipped me with precludes me from needing to acquire such a tool. But before I got those, i just waited till daytime to address any mechanical issues and inspections. So, I'll refer you back to the preceding replies.

Streamlight makes an excellent headlight that takes 3 AAA batteries. Check online or at Boss-safety.com

Waiting until daylight isn't an issue in a nonstop team operation.

    I appreciate all the replies.

Ordered a streamlight Argo that takes the CR123A batteries just like my streamlight flashlight, amazon had it for just over $30 compared to the $50 plus dollars I have seen them priced at. I will be sure to give a review when I get it.
