I used to drive one of those. I hated that feature and I always drive with my lights on. But when I want to avoid blinding someone while waiting for them to back in to a spot it would be nice to just flip the switch and get the result I'm looking for.
Too many 4 wheeler features on the Prostar. Key should be on the left in close proximity to the headlight switch. After I unlock the door I want to put the key in the starter switch before I climb in, I don't want to be fumbling with keys in my hand while reaching for grab bars or have to fish them out of my pocket after I'm buckled in.
Headlights during the day........

I would just add that the air horn doesn't belong on the wheel. Prostar is the least favorite of all the trucks I've driven.
Dominick253 and DsquareD Thank this. -
In Canada daytime running lights have been law for years. They just come on as soon as you push in the parking brake.
darthanubis and AModelCat Thank this. -
The air horn on the wheel is my least favorite feature. Many times I've gone for the horn and hit the wrong button.

My headlights automatically turn on when the parking brake is released. That's why I drive with them on. I have noticed at dusk they are dimmer than when I have my headlights switched on.

I turn my lights on for those roads, also in Pennsylvania road work zones.
Otherwise I let the daytime running lights do their thing. -
Ive drove with lights on for decades. Hauling oversized, hazmat, off road blah blah blah it's what we do.
