Ironic how health insurance premiums today will KILL YA'! I've heard good things about OOIDA, anytime you can get coverage from a big group is better than on your own, looks to be affordable,,minimum coverage( up to a million, which is peanuts today) about $120/mo. for family, then don't forget $140/mo. for disability, and 1/4ly taxes,,like all coverage, you don't know what you got until they refuse payments on something,, now about that O/O thing,,,o_O

I’m sure it’s better than nothing.
One of our O/Os fell off his deck causing life altering injuries and although our govt healthcare covered his medical costs lack of disability insurance put him in the poor house. He never returned to work due to injuries that left him parapalegic and other physical health issues

I can’t afford it, I’m extremely careful especially doing flatbed, never in a rush. I carry Occupational Hazard($1500 a year) just incase. When I do need a doctor, I go south of the border. One more year(65) and I’ll be able to afford it .

If you have no insurance. Get a catastrophic policy (High deductible). That is cheaper than full coverage and it will keep Medical bills from bankrupting you.

I’ve wondered how the “illegals” do this….. probably go to the hospital for emergency and tell them they have no job, no home, nothing. Then we flip the bill.o_O:mad:
