Most Linehaul key word don’t do dock work. City P&D does with a pallet jack. R&L doesn’t I believe. You have to ask the Terminal Manager in the interview. OD Saia Estes ABF are the ones I know that don’t do dock work just drop and hook. I’m 98% sure. My terminal has one work off bid that is relatively easy but I won’t bid on it. Also I do know and I don’t know why R&L doesn’t pay Linehaul as well as the others. City P&D guys make more over there. They pay by the run on Linehaul. Only ones that do that. Linehaul guys at R&L make $250 a run on the same run I make $400. We all meet and turn at the same place. Now they might of increase their pay for Linehaul but I’m not 100% on that. I know in my area their around $29-30hr. For city p$d.

Half? No. On 100K, you can expect to take HOME high 60s low 70s. Times have definitely changed. I'm only 30, and have made 100K+ at Estes every year I've been there except last years because I was lazy and literally did nothing from late August until end. I'm on a small run now. 422 miles a night at .715 (top linehaul pay for now) and it pays 78K BASE without drops, hooks, or any extra. I don't even work 40 hours off my 70.WannaGoTrucks2016, RussianBearTruckeR, Texas_hwy_287 and 9 others Thank this.

On average 4.5hr each way. Meet and turn swap trailers. Then I spend time hooking my set to leave and breaking my set when I get back. 10.5-11hrs ish with a 30 min break.Last edited by a moderator: Mar 10, 2021
