My husband was diagnosed with a cardiac arrythmia last June. He had all sorts of tests and was put on medication. Meanwhile, his CDL had been revoked due to a lapse of consciousness (NOT in a truck!). He recently had a cardiac ablation and has a great letter from his doctor. My question:

If a revocation is for medical reasons which are now stable, and there is no danger of future issues, does the revocation hurt your CDL, insurance, etc.

    Thanks for any wise input...

Im no expert but going though similar issues. As long as he has the medical documentation and can pass a physical he should be able to get his license back. As far as insurance im not sure but I do know starting next year you will be able to get your own insurance that will accept pre exsisting conditions per obama care. i know this is old and if he is not cleared yet i hope this helps.

That's a year old. I'd like to hear an update.

They say if treated and cleared by the doc with no problems after one month you can get a 1 year card.
