Number of people Pro Heartland are outnumbered by the Anti Heartland. I think the smart people will go with the Heartless folks. But hey they do pay big bucks when you do get rolling, but again you see why they have to pay so much. Hopefully it will change. Hope Chrome and Truthin continue to do well.
Heartland Express is doing good

Exactly my point truthin you have non cheating and misleading these good drivers to come to a bad company where they get lied to and cheated. They don't give us hometime like promised and they send us to Maryland and the northeast where we get no miles and we have no paycheck but heartless don't care. Heartless don't care I am here and people need to know the truth. So they go to companies that take care of them and they can make a decent living and not get screwed by heartless.

michaeld019, you joined the forum less than 30 days ago, you have posted 25 posts, all 25 of them are trying to tear down Heartland and attack them, 0 of them are about anything else. and I repeat, all 25 of your posts are attacking heartland, 0 of them about anything else. and then you also attack me for my opinion and my experience. Just keep giving your story about 'people need to know the truth so they don't get lied and cheated on' - whatever. Thank god for you setting the record straight for everyone about a company thats been around for 40 years. that's all

And you are right your a recruitor not a driver instead of driving your sitting here on this site all day and yes i am making sure drivers know how dirty heartless express liers scammers and thieves. So drivers won't get ripped of and hasseled like me and other heartless drivers did and save the other drivers the missouri and headache. If i case do that that it's worth people knowing the truth about heartless express.
Dinomite Thanks this. -
you seem to be the one sitting here all day.

How much is their weekly guaranteed salary?

They send you to the north east and they won't let you use the tolls and you run shortmiles and run your clock on short miles in the northeast and then you sit for anothet short run. Bs.

Here is my experience with Heartland so far. I have been with them just over 8 weeks. I'm not going to ##### or degrade them but just tell my story. Here are the pros....steady pay, very well maintained equipment, the shops are pretty quick on getting issues repaired when they happen, home time they do try to get you home when they say..here are the cons that bother me the most no tolls paid in Ohio or Indiana, they do sit you a lot which seems so they can cover priority loads, the north east and east areas are the worst for sitting, I have been ran one time in the mid west and did less sitting and more running but they keep me mostly on the east, this is my biggest con.. Make your delivery and then do your 10 hr break wake up in the am and sit all day then get load that needs to be ran through the night, to me that is not very safe practice. I'm not saying heartland is a bad or good choice but if they would fix the issue of sitting so much they would be a great company to work for. I'm trying my best to work through this and give them a chance but been very trying.

One more thing that I forgot to say is Heartland only fuels at Pilot, Fly J, and sometimes Loves. They do not fuel at T/A or Petro's.

I drive a truck. I say what I experience in my job. I am also out of the Columbus terminal, which most say is the best one for dispatch.
I have been conveying my opinions and answering questions on this forum for quite a few years, about all the company's that I work for.
Then someone that cannot write, and probably cannot communicate with dispatch any better, gets on here and wants to degrade me??
I have been sitting back reading his whining and not responding for days. And it is getting old.
Not every company is for everyone.
Not every dispatcher or terminal is equal.
This is the same with any company. So if you have an issue then you try and deal with it in the company first. My guess is that you ran for Heartland for a month or maybe two, then gave up.
That is up to you. But many drivers do well with them. And many have been with them for years. The highest turnover in any company is with drivers that have been with the company less than a year. After 2 years most tend to stay for allot longer.
You tried them out. They did not suit you. That is fine. But whining will not do anything for you. Nor will it make you look any better. One or two comments I could see. Getting on here day after day makes me think that you probably screwed up and got fired instead of quitting, so that now you have a vendetta.
Whatever. Just leave me out of your childish rants.Last edited by a moderator: Oct 7, 2012
